THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE BATTU DEVANAND AND THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A. HARI HARANADHA SARMA WRIT APPEAL Nos. 946, 982 & 1011 of 2024 and 880, 1159, 1285 & 1289 of 2025 and 186 & 309 of 2026 AND WRIT PETITION Nos.9752,9773 & 18602 of 2024 and 14593, 14715, 14716, 14817, 14858, 14956, 15012 & 15014 of 2026 COMMON ORDER: (Per Hon’ble Sri Justice Battu Devanand) As the issue involved in all these matters is identical, they are taken up together and are being disposed of, by this common order. 2. The issue involved in all these matters is with regard to the enhancement of age of superannuation of the employees from 60 to 62 years working in the Public Sector Undertakings/Corporations/Societies included in the IX and X schedules of the A.P Re-organization Act, 2014. 3.
These cases went on several adjournments at the request of the learned Government Pleader appearing for the State Government. 4. Today when the matters are taken up for hearing, learned Government Pleader for Services-I has placed a copy of the Government Order issued in G.O.Ms.No.45, Finance (HR.IV-FR&LR) Department, dated 02.07.2026 and would submit that the Government accorded approval for enhancement of age of Superannuation from 60 to 62 years for the regular employees of PSUs, Corporations and Societies included under Schedules IX and X of the Andhra
Pradesh Re-organization Act, 2014 retrospectively, with effect from 01.01.2022, subject to certain conditions. 5. As the relief sought by the employees in all these cases has already been considered by the Government by issuing G.O.Ms.No.45, Finance (HR.IV- FR&LR) Department, dated 02.07.2026, in our considered view, further adjudication on the aspect of enhancement of age of Superannuation from 60 to 62 years, is not required. 6. In view of the above factual position, all these cases can be disposed of, recording the submissions of the learned Government Pleader and placing a copy of the G.O.Ms.No.45, Finance (HR.IV-FR&LR) Department, dated 02.07.2026, on record. 7. However, it is made clear that if any petitioner in these cases is having any further grievance, they are permitted to make a representation to the competent authority. On submission of such representation, the competent authority shall consider their grievance, in accordance with law and take appropriate action, as expeditiously as possible. 8. Accordingly, all these Writ Appeals and Writ Petitions are hereby disposed of. 9. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. __________________________ JUSTICE BATTU DEVANAND
