Ms. Manju Bahuguna, learned counsel with Mr. D.N. Sharma, learned counsel for the petitioners. 2. Mr. B.C. Joshi, learned A.G.A. for the State. 3. Petitioner no. 1 Akansha Gangwar, D/o Gajendra Gangwar and Jagdish, S/o Bihari Lal, both residents of Rudrapur District U.S. Nagar are praying for adequate protection since there is regular threat from respondent no. 4 and 5. 4. Both the petitioners are present in Court and identified by their counsel. 5. Respondent no. 4 is the father of petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 5 is her cousin brother. 6. It is contended in the petition that both the petitioners are major and they were in love and now married at Vanshakti Mandir Pantnagar, Udham Singh Nagar in accordance with Hindu rites and rituals and their marriage is also registered, copy of which is enclosed as annexure no. 1. About their age proof, copy of Aadhar card as well as birth certificate and the school leaving certificate have been enclosed. It is also contended that father and cousin of petitioner no. 1 are against this marriage and therefore, there is regular threat and they also made representation to the S.S.P. U.S. Nagar. 7. Mr. Joshi, learned A.G.A. for the State have not disputed on their age as well as their marriage since documents with regard to the age and marriage registration is also enclosed. 8. Admittedly both are major and now married and their marriage is also registered, let S.S.P. Udham Singh Nagar may assess threat perception, if any, to the petitioners and if he comes to the conclusion that there is any threat perception then take appropriate steps. In addition to this, the concerned S.H.O. is also directed to call upon respondent nos. 4 and 5 and advise them not to take law in their hands. 9.
