JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned Additional Government Advocate takes notice for all the respondents. 2. It is the contention of the learned Counsel for the petitioner that petitioner's father-Sri.G.A.Suryanarayana was granted 5 Acres 27 Guntas of land in Sy.No.31. Doddakarenahalli village, Nelamangala Taluk, Bengaluru Rural District, on payment of upset price on 08.02.1957. Thereafter, at the request of petitioner's father, the khatha was transferred in favour of the petitioner in terms of M.R.No.29/1996-97. Nevertheless, it is contended that after computerization, the name of the petitioner's father has not been continued in the RTC extract and therefore, the petitioner has submitted a representation at Annexure- H dated 14.01.2026 to the 4th respondent-Tahsildar, Nelamangala Taluk, seeking to continue the name of the petitioner's father in the computerized RTC. However, the Tahsildar has not taken any action till date. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:20681 WP No. 11563 of 2026 3. After hearing the learned Counsel for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Advocate and on perusing the petition papers, this Court finds from the material on record that the name of the petitioner's father was earlier entered in the land revenue records. However, if the Tahsildar is of the opinion that the petitioner's father has not been granted lands, nevertheless, it is the duty of the Tahsildar to secure the original Grant Register, Saguvali Chit Issue Register and other contemporaneous records to satisfy himself regarding the grant made in favour of the petitioner. Moreover, there is no reason why the name of the petitioner's father which was earlier entered in the land revenue records has not been continued after computerization, the Tahsildar is duty bound to look into all these aspects and pass necessary orders. 4. Consequently, this writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to the 4th respondent-Tahsildar, Nelamangala Taluk to consider the representation given by - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:20681 WP No. 11563 of 2026 the petitioner and in the light of the observations made hereinabove, verify the original records in the presence of the petitioner and pass necessary orders to enter the name of the petitioner's father in the computerized RTC and land revenue records as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Thereafter, the petitioner may make a representation to the Tahsildar to enter his name in the revenue records and the same may be considered in accordance with law. 5.
