WPCRL No. 531 of 2026 Hon'ble Rakesh Thapliyal, J.
1. Mr. Bilal Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner.
2. Mr. G.S. Sandhu, learned Addl. Advocate General with Mr. Himanshu Sain, learned A.G.A. for the State.
3. The instant writ petition has been preferred by the petitioner seeking the following reliefs:- (i) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned FIR dated 15.03.2026 registered as case crime no. 188 of 2026 under Section 3 Section 5 read with Section 11 of Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007, Patel Nagar District Dehradun. (ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents not to arrest the petitioner in case crime no. 188 of 2026 under Section 3 Section 5 read with Section 11 of Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007, Patel Nagar District Dehradun till the pendency of the present petition.
4. After arguing at length, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is ready to surrender before the court concerned.
5. The State counsel has no objection.
6. In such view of the matter, instant writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner to surrender before the court concerned on or before 14.05.2026. Till then, the petitioner shall not be arrested provided he cooperates with the investigation.
