Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioner, after being duly selected, was appointed as Medical Officer and posted at Primary Health Centre, Mukteshwar, Nainital by office
order dated
04.09.2025. Pursuant to said order, petitioner submitted his joining on 19.09.2025. The Chief Medical Officer, Nainital, on the same day sent a communication to Director General, Medical Health and Family Welfare, Uttarakhand, stating that no post of Medical Officer is vacant at Primary Health Centre, Mukteshwar, Nainital. In the said communication, he suggested that posts of Medical Officer are vacant at P.H.C. 1

Ramgarh, P.H.C. Tall Ramgarh, P.H.C. Pyuda and P.H.C. Bajpathri and the petitioner can be posted at any of the aforesaid Centres; however, the Government has not issued any order for posting of the petitioner so far and, hence, the present writ petition.

Learned Additional C.S.C. appearing for the State, on basis of instructions received from the State/respondents, states that the State Government would pass order for posting of the petitioner positively within two weeks.

Having regard to the submission made by the learned State Counsel, we dispose of the writ petition directing respondent no.1 to pass suitable order for posting of the petitioner positively within two weeks from today.

Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.

Learned State Counsel will communicate the instant order to respondent no.1 for appropriate compliance.
