Heard Mr. M. Hemchandra, learned Sr. counsel assisted by Mr. Juno Rahman, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs. Ch. Sundari, learned GA appearing for the respondents. [2]
In view of the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioner and as agreed to by both the parties, the present writ petition as well as the connected application are being disposed of at the motion stage itself. [3]
At the outset, the learned Sr. counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Director of Transport, Government of Manipur (respondent no. 2) to consider the representation dated 09.03.2026 submitted by the petitioner taking into consideration the office Lucy Gurum ayum Digitally signed by Lucy Gurumayum Date: 2026.06.10 16:40:46 +05'30'

memorandum dated 07.11.2022 issued by the Director Transport, Government of Manipur and to disposed of the said representation by issuing appropriate orders within a stipulated period. [4]
Mrs. Ch. Sundari, learned GA appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that as the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner is confined to consideration and disposal of the representation submitted by the petitioner, she has no objection in disposing of this writ petition as prayed for by the learned Sr. counsel appearing for the petitioner. [5]
Considering the submission advance by the learned counsel appearing for the parties and the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioner, this Court is of the considered view that it will be in the interest of justice to issue the following direction:- (i) The Director Transport, Government of Manipur is hereby directed to consider the representation dated 09.03.2026 submitted by the petitioner keeping in view the office memorandum dated 07.11.2022 issued by the respondent no. 2 and to disposed of the same by issuing an appropriate order.

(ii) The whole process should be completed within a period of 2(two) months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. [6]
With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition as well as the connected application are hereby disposed of. JUDGE Lucy
