Instant writ petition under Article 226 of the constitution of India has been preferred by the petitioner seeking following reliefs :- “10.1 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to call the records pertaining to case of the petitioner. 10.2 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent to consider and decide the application of petitioner for grant of Permanent Stage Carriage Permit, in accordance with provisions of Motor Vehicles Rule, 1994. 10.3 Any other relief, which this Hon’ble Court may deem fit in favour of the petitioner, may also be granted.” 2 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that an application for grant of a ‘Permanent Stage Carriage’ on the route from Jashpur to Raigarh via Kunkuri, Kansabel, Pathalgaon, Gharghoda and one trip back for the vehicle bearing registration No. CG 14 MW 4261 is pending consideration before the Regional Transport Authority. He would further submit that a direction may be issued to the respondent authority to take decision on the pending application dated 08.12.2025. 3 On the other hand, learned counsel appearing for the State would oppose the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record. 5. Taking into consideration the limited prayer made by counsel for the petitioner, at this juncture, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent authority to decide the pending application of the petitioner for grant of ‘Permanent Stage Carriage expeditiously preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt / submission of copy of this order. 6. With the aforesaid observations and directions, the present writ petition stands disposed of. 7. Pending interlocutory application, if any, stands disposed of.
