ORAL ORDER
In this petition, petitioner seeks the following reliefs:
“ i) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or direction to the Respondent Nos.1 to 3 to immediately consider his seniority / eligibility and to promote him to the post of Professor or Registrar or as the case may be and further be pleased to direct the Respondent Nos.1 to 3 to consider the salary allowance and all other perquisites

back dated and disburse in favour of the petitioner since the day he was eligible, in the interest of justice and equity.
ii) or To grant any such other relief or order or direction as this Hon’ble Court deems fit under the facts and circumstances of the case to meet the ends of justice.
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for respondent Nos.1, 3 and 4 and learned AGA for respondent No.2 and perused the material on record.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petition may be disposed of directing respondent Nos.1 to 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner at Annexure – E7 dated 03.10.2023 submitted to the respondent Nos.1 to 3.
4. Per contra, learned AGA for respondent Nos.1 and 2 submits that if reasonable time is given, the respondents would consider and pass necessary order on the said representation.
5. The aforesaid submission is placed on record.
6. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances and rival submissions, the concerned respondent is hereby directed to address the grievance of the petitioner and consider his representation at Annexure – E7 dated 03.10.2023 and pass

appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. Subject to the aforesaid observations and directions, the petition stands disposed of.
