Sathishkumar, by including the name of the petitioner and the name of the petitioner's mother, Arukkani, as his Class-II legal heirs, based on the petitioner's representation dated 24.06.2026. 2.By consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's son-in-law, R.Sathishkumar, passed away intestate. It is further submitted that, for the purpose of obtaining a Class-II Legal Heirship 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.19536 of 2026 Certificate in respect of the deceased, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 24.06.2026 to the second respondent requesting that the names of the petitioner and the petitioner's mother, Arukkani, be included as the Class-II legal heirs of the deceased. Despite receipt of the said representation, the respondents have not passed any orders thereon. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondents, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present Writ Petition. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner further submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if this Court issues a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.06.2026 and pass appropriate orders thereon within such time as may be fixed by this Court. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to 3/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.19536 of 2026 consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 24.06.2026, after affording the petitioner, as well as any other interested or affected parties, if any, an adequate opportunity of hearing, and thereafter pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.
