Mr. Pankaj Miglani, Advocate for the Selecting Body. 1. Since common questions of facts and law are involved in these petitions, therefore, these are being heard and decided together. However, for the sake of brevity and convenience, facts of Writ Petition (SS) No. 1447 of 2025, alone are being considered and discussed. 2. Uttarakhand Public Service Commission invited applications from eligible candidates for participating in Uttarakhand Lower Subordinate Service Examination-2024. Selection process consists of preliminary examination, 2026:UHC:3439 followed by mains, and thereafter interview. 3. Petitioners responded to said advertisement and appeared in preliminary examination. Since their names did not figure in the list of candidates declared successful in preliminary examination, therefore, they approached this Court challenging correctness of answers given in two- objective type questions in preliminary examination. 4. This Court, by interim order permitted petitioners to provisionally participate in the mains examination with the condition that their result shall not be declared without leave of this Court. 5. Admittedly, all the petitioners have participated in the mains examination. Learned counsel for the Public Service Commission submits that none of the petitioners could qualify in the mains examination; therefore, issue raised by petitioners in these writ petitions has become academic. 6. Final result of mains examination declared on 27.03.2026 is produced in Court by Mr. Pankaj Miglani, Advocate, which is taken on record. Based on said result, Mr. 2026:UHC:3439 Miglani submits that none of the petitioners could make it to the list of successful candidates. 7. Since petitioners have failed in the mains examination, even though they were permitted to participate therein; therefore even if writ petitions are decided in their favour, then also they will not get any relief. 8. In such view of the matter, all these writ petitions are dismissed as infructuous. 9. Learned counsel for the Selecting Body submits that petitioners can get copy of their answer scripts of the mains examination once selection process is over.
