State opposes the prayer for bail. The records of the case reflect that the prosecution intends to rely upon 17 witnesses in order to prove its case. Having considered the period of detention of the present petitioner and the time which will be consumed to take the trial to its logical conclusion as also the fact that there are no criminal antecedents of the present petitioner, I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail. 2 Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Allowed. Accordingly, the petitioner viz, Suman Das @ Soumen shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand only), with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Special Court (NDPS Act), 3rd Court, Balurghat, Dakhin Dinajpur.
