04 27.02.2026 Court No.18 pg. IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA CONSTITUTIONAL WRIT JURISDICTION APPELLATE SIDE WPA 259 of 2026 Md. Sakil Ansari -versus The Chairman, West Bengal Central School Service Commission & Ors. Mr. S.P. Pahari … For the petitioner Ms. Anusmita Bhattacharya … For the WBCSSC 1. Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today is taken on record. 2. The petitioner is aggrieved by the manner in which his question has been assessed by the West Bengal Central School Service Commission. The petitioner raised objection within the time limit prescribed after publication of the preliminary model answer key. The final answer key has already been published. The answer given in the preliminary answer key level has tallied with the one given in the final answer. 3. The petitioner claims to be one mark short of the cut off marks. Prayer has been made to direct the Commission to re-assess the answer given by him. 4. As it appears that the preliminary answer key was published and the answer given therein tallied 2 with that of the final answer, accordingly, the candidate ought to follow the decision of the Expert in terms of the recruitment Rules. There is hardly any scope to interfere in the instant writ petition. 5. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. 6. All parties shall act on the basis of a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities. (Amrita Sinha, J.)
