Contempt application is taken up for consideration when learned advocate representing alleged contemnors has filed a report signed by Assistant Engineer (Building Department) and Sub-Assistant Engineer (Demolition Building Department) of Howrah Municipal Corporation on 5th October, 2026 and same is taken on record. Copy of said report is made over to learned advocate representing applicant. 2. Report dated 5th October, 2026 reveals that demolition of unauthorized portion of building in question i.e. from second floor to fifth floor is complete and debris are being removed continuously. 2 3. However, such contention of alleged contemnors is disputed by learned advocate representing applicant. 4. Since it is submitted on behalf of alleged contemnors that demolition of unauthorized portion of building in question i.e. from second floor to fifth floor is complete, no further order need be passed on this contempt application. 5. Contempt application is disposed of and contempt proceeding stands dropped. 6. However, alleged contemnors are directed to complete removal of debris within three weeks from date. 7. If applicant finds any unauthorized portion is not demolished, in that event he is at liberty to take steps in accordance with law. 8.
