This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed alleging that the detenu-Sathya, aged 21 years, was living with her parents and went missing since 28.05.2026, from the house of the petitioner, who is her sister. 2. Today, the said Sathya was produced before us. She had stated that she is living in a hostel; that she does not wish to return to her parents’ house; and that she is not in illegal detention. 3. In fact, on the complaint given by the petitioner, an FIR for ‘Woman Missing’ was registered on 28.05.2026 in Cr.No.49 of 2026. The detenu was produced before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Mannarkudi. The learned Magistrate recorded the statement of the detenu, her parents and her sister, the petitioner herein. From the above, it is clear that the detenu, a major, is not in illegal detention. Hence, we are not inclined to entertain this Habeas Corpus Petition and the same is closed. (A.S.M.,J.)
