Petitioner is serving as Lecturer (Political Science) in Government Inter College, Paatkot, Block Ramnagar, District Nainital. He has challenged Government Order dated 14.03.2024, whereby upper limit was prescribed for transfer to be made under Section 17(1)(b)(iv) of Transfer Act, 2017. Petitioner has also sought a writ of mandamus directing the competent authority to consider his claim for transfer from remote area to accessible area. 3. Mr. Ankit Bisht, learned counsel holding brief of Mr. Vinay Kumar, learned counsel appearing for petitioner submits that petitioner do not intend to press the writ petition and he submits that writ petition may be disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to the competent authority regarding his transfer. 2026:UHC:696 4. Learned State Counsel submits that he has no objection if the writ petition is disposed of in terms of the prayer made by petitioner’s counsel. 5. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to the competent authority.
