Side), for R1 & R2 __________ Page1 of 4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 16996 of 2026 ORDER The prayer in this Criminal Original Petition is to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2026 and to provide adequate Police protection for the life and liberty of the petitioner. 2. The case is disposed of at the admission stage itself without notice to the respondents 3 to 5 as this Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the case. 3. It is submitted that between the petitioner and the private respondents herein, there is a property dispute. The matter is pending before the Civil Court in OS.No.53 of 2026 on the file of the District Munsif Court, Kallakurichi. Even though there is no interim order, when the petitioner is contesting the suit, the private respondents are interfering and also threatened the petitioner for his life and the petitioner being senior citizen is suffering. 4. In view thereof, if there is any order of the Civil Court with reference to the property, protection should be given in tune with the order of the Civil Court. If there are no orders of the Civil Court and the petitioner makes a representation with reference to any threat or injury to him and the same shall be looked into and appropriate action shall be taken by the Police on the representation of the petitioner. __________ Page2 of 4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 16996 of 2026 5. It is stated that the petitioner has already made a representation on 19.06.2026 and the same shall be considered. If there is any prima facie averments relating to any offence, the respondent Police shall conduct enquiry and decide the issue accordingly. 6.
