(iii) for grant of any other relief or reliefs to which the petitioner may be found entitled in the facts and circumstances of the present case.”
3. The matter relates to a piece of land under Mauza- Kajiapur/Balipur, Circle Patna Sadar.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the application was submitted before the Circle Officer, Patna Sadar, Patna on 8th September, 2025 but despite the thirty days period that has been allowed to the revenue officers to dispose of the petition, till date the said said officer, the Circle Officer, Patna Sadar, Patna (respondent no.4) has not disposed it of. Patna High Court CWJC No.2840 of 2026(2) dt.19-02-2026 3/3
4. Learned State counsel submits that immediate steps shall be taken and the Circle Officer, Sadar, Patna shall be disposing of the petition of the petitioner. 5. It is unfortunate that despite the State Government restricting the time limit for a Revenue Officer to dispose of any petition, the concerned Revenue Official sat over the file of the petitioner forcing him to invoke the writ jurisdiction. He has to take steps and dispose of the petition of the petitioner within a period of thirty days from today failing which the petitioner shall be free to take steps for filing an appropriate petition for initiation of contempt proceeding against him/her. 6. The writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid observation and the order has been passed in the presence of learned State counsel who undertakes to inform the Circle Officer, Sadar, Patna today itself. vinayak/- (Rajiv Roy, J) U
