The petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: "A. The Petitioner respectfully prays before this Hon'ble Court to grant a Writ of Mandamus against the Respondents to consider the Petitioner's representations dated 21.03.2025 at Annexure - A seeking information and details in respect to Survey No.43, measuring 5 acres 15 guntas, situated at Thippasandra Village, HAL 3rd Stage Layout, Varthur - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:5842 WP No. 17497 of 2025 Hobli, Bengaluru East Taluk forthwith in the interest of Justice and Equity. B. The Petitioner also prays before this Hon'ble Court to grant any other relief in favor of the Petitioner, as may be deemed fit to be considered in view of the above circumstances." 2. The representation dated 21.03.2025 at Annexure ‘A’ had been submitted to the respondent No.1 to furnish certain documents. The said documents / information not being furnished, the above petition has been filed seeking for issuance of mandamus to the official respondents. The petitioner can always file necessary application under the Right to Information Act, 2005 for documents and/or any information she may seek for. The remedy of mandamus cannot be used for the purpose of directing furnishing of documents or information. 3. Hence, with the above observations, reserving liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate application under the Right to Information Act, 2005 with the appropriate Authority, the petition stands disposed of.
