[2] In view of the limited prayer made in this present writ petition and as agreed to by both the counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of at the motion stage itself. [3] The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that for addressing the grievances raised by the petitioner in the present the petition, the petitioner has already approached the Registrar, Manipur University (Respondent No. 1) by submitting a representation dated 14-05-2026 and that the said representation is still pending for consideration and disposal. [4] The learned counsel, further submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent No. 1 to consider the said representation on its own merit and strictly in terms of applicable rules and to dispose of the same by issuing speaking order within a stipulated period. WP(C) No. 424 of 2026 Page 3 [5] Mr. Deepak Prasad Sahu, learned counsel appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that as the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner is confined to the consideration and disposal of the representation submitted by the petitioner, he has no objection in disposing of the present writ petition as prayed for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. [6] Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties and on perusal of the record, this Court is of the considered view that the interests of justice will be served by issuing the following directions:- (i) The Registrar, Manipur University is hereby directed to consider the said representation dated 14- 05-2026 submitted by the petitioner strictly on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable rules and to dispose of the same by issuing speaking order. (ii) It is made clear that the whole exercise should be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. (iii) Respondent No. 1 is directed to communicate any order passed in connection with the said representation to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of passing such an order.
