Mr. Suresh Chandra Bhatt, learned counsel for the respondent-Nagar Palika Parishad Khatima. 4. According to petitioner, she was engaged on contract as Assistant Teacher in a school run by Nagar Palika Parishad Khatima in the year 2004. Upon closure of school, she was adjusted in the Office of Nagar Palika Parishad, Khatima on contract as Junior Clerk in the year 2016 and she is thereafter serving as Junior Clerk. 5. It is contended that petitioner has served continuously for more than twenty-two years and there is a vacancy available on the post of Junior Clerk, which had arisen on account of promotion of one employee to the Centralised Service. Petitioner contends that she has earned a right to be considered for regularisation. In this regard, she has made a representation to Chairman, Nagar Palika Parishad, Khatima on 22.04.2026. 6. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought a direction to the 2026:UHC:3464 Competent Authority to take decision on that representation. 7. Mr. S.C. Bhatt, learned counsel appearing for Nagar Palika Parishad submits that decision, if already not taken, shall be taken expeditiously. 8. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Competent Authority in the Nagar Palika Parishad, Khatima to examine petitioner’s claim for regularisation and pass appropriate order, as per law, within six weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
