Order This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to complete the petitioner’s appeal proceedings dated 4.05.2026 as expeditiously as possible 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the object of the 3rd respondent Society is to look after the welfare of its members by providing standard medical facilities and imparting education to their children. To achieve this object, a number of schools have been established by the said Society under the name and style of "The Indian Public School" across various districts. Accordingly, they also established a school in Tirunelveli in the year 2022, where students were admitted and continued their studies until the academic year 2024–2025.
3. Suddenly, a Transfer Certificate (TC) request form was circulated to the students to be communicated to their parents. The petitioner’s grandson and granddaughter, who were studying in the said school, were also served with such TC request forms. Upon subsequent enquiry, the petitioner came to know that the Managing Trustee of the Society had established the school and collected fees without obtaining any prior permission or approval from the Education Department. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

4. Aggrieved by this, a criminal complaint was lodged against the 3rd respondent Trust, and a formal complaint was also submitted to the 2nd respondent requesting an enquiry into the illegal activities of the Trust. However, the 2nd respondent, vide proceedings dated 21.04.2026, rejected the petitioner's claim. Challenging the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the 1st respondent on 04.05.2026. Since the said appeal has not been
disposed of, the petitioner has approached this Court.
5. Mr.DOMINIC S.DAVID, learned Government’s Counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 & 2 submitted that the petitioner’s appeal dated 04.05.2026 will be considered within a period of eight weeks.
6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
7. Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 04.05.2026 within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
