Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 3 years 6 months and only three witnesses are about to be examined. On the other hand, learned advocate for the State submits that he has instruction that 11 witnesses have been examined. Be that as it may, the petitioner is in custody for 3 years 6 months, another 6 months is granted to the State to conclude the trial, i.e. preferably by 30th September, 2026. Even if the petitioner’s submissions are accepted to be gospel truth, then in that case also the present trial is in advanced stage, as such, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.
