2. The petitioner herein was involved in a POCSO Case vide crime No.19 of 2024 of All Women Police Station, Lalgudi. In view of the same, he was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on
06.07.2024. Consequently, the petitioner was placed under suspension from 05.07.2024 to 31.08.2025 and thereafter he was reinstated into service. Subsequently, the petitioner is stated to have been acquitted in the said criminal case and therefore, the petitioner made a request for regularising the said period of suspension from 05.07.2024 to 31.08.2025 by submitting a representation dated 15.06.2026 to the first respondent through the respondent No.3 herein. As no steps have been taken by the 3rd respondent as on date, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present writ petition.
3. Mr.C.Jeganathan, learned Counsel for the Government of Tamil Nadu appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that it is only on submission of necessary proposal from the 3rd respondent, the respondents 1 and 2 can consider the same. 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

4. As the petitioner is seeking only a direction for
consideration of his representation, notice to 3rd respondent is dispensed with and accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage, directing the 3rd respondent to consider the representation dated 15.06.2026 submitted by the petitioner and submit necessary proposal for regularization of the period of suspension from 05.07.2024 to 31.08.2025 to the respondent No.2 for onward submission the same to the first respondent as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the proposal from the 3rd respondent, the respondents 1 and 2 shall take all necessary steps for passing appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of proposal from the 3rd respondent. No costs.
