JUSTICE E.S.INDIRESH ORAL ORDER 1. This Writ Petition is filed by the petitioner assailing rejection of the application made by the petitioner seeking transfer of the petitioner from CMR University, Bengaluru to Al Ameen College of Law, Bengaluru, by the respondent - University. 2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the impugned letter dated 23.01.2026 issued by the respondent - University is contrary to Clause 2(1)(ii) of the Ordinance governing the immigration of students from other University to Karnataka State Law University and therefore, sought for interference of this Court and submitted that as both the Colleges are coming under the purview of the respondent - KSLU, and therefore, it is contended that, there is no impediment for the respondent-University to accord permission - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:14422 WP No. 4569 of 2026 for immigration of the petitioner from CMR University to Al Ameen College of Law. 3. Per contra, Smt. Saritha Kulkarni, learned counsel appearing for the respondent - University submitted that the Al Ameen College of Law is not authorised to offer BBA LLB (Hons.) Course and the petitioner was studying in BBA LLB (Hons.) Course in CMR University and therefore, sought to justify the impugned letter dated 23.01.2026. 4. In the light of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, on careful consideration of the writ papers and the Memo dated 17.02.2026 filed by the petitioner would indicate that the petitioner herein has sought for 'no objection' from the CMR University, Bengaluru, wherein the petitioner is pursuing BBA LLB (Hons.) Course to join Al Ameen College of Law for BBA LLB (Hons.) Course and accordingly, CMR University, Bengaluru, has granted permission. 5. In this regard perused the application made by the petitioner seeking admission for same course i.e. BBA LLB (Hons.) Course at Al Ameen College of Law. However the - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:14422 WP No. 4569 of 2026 perusal of the writ papers would indicate that Al Ameen College of Law is not authorised to offer BBA LLB (Hons.) Course and it is permitted to offer B.A., LL.B. programme. In that view of the matter, as the subjects in BBA LLB (Hons.) Course is different from the subjects in B.A. LL.B. Course, I am of the view that, there is no infirmity in the order dated 23.01.2026 passed by the respondent - Karnataka State Law University. 6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed.
