P.P. --------- 02/20.03.2026 Heard Mr. Abhinav Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Spl. P.P. for the State. The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected in B.A. No. 7156 of 2025. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that five witnesses have been examined by the prosecution out of which four witnesses have been declared hostile. Learned counsel for the petitioner while referring to the evidence of the victim who has been examined as P.W. 2 has submitted that P.W. 2 in her cross examination has categorically stated that the petitioner had not done any wrong with her. Learned counsel adds that the petitioner is in custody since 06.03.2025. Learned Spl. P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. It appears from the evidence of the victim that she has also stated that the petitioner had caught her hand and had touched her private parts. In view of the above, I am not inclined to reconsider the bail of the petitioner which stands rejected once again. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J.)
