When the matter is taken up for consideration for admission stage today, Mrs.K.Porkodi, learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, brought to the notice of this Court that the 2nd respondent has already issued proceedings in Na.Ka.No.536/2026/A1 dated 09.07.2026 for release of subsistence allowance at the rate of 50% from the date of suspension of the petitioner i.e., on 12.02.2026 and the arrears of subsistence allowance would be released shortly to the petitioner. 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD) No.19304 of 2026 3. In the light of the above, the cause in the writ petition does not survive and accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to ensure that the arrears of subsistence allowance are released to the petitioner pursuant to the proceedings dated 09.07.2026 as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and continue to pay the subsistence allowance so long the petitioner is continued under suspension.
