In Re: An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023. In connection with Chopra P.S case no. 206 of 2025 dated 01/03/2025 under sections 318(4)/336(2)/338/336(3)/340(2)/3(5) of the BNS. In the matter of: Sahroj Alam ...Petitioner. Mr. Arnab Chatterjee Mr. Amit Roy Mr. Avik Ghosh …for the petitioner. Mr. Suman De Mr. Sarthak Mondal …for the State.
1. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is a Civic Volunteer. He is in no way connected with the alleged offences and has been falsely implicated in this case.
2. Learned counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He also files a report, which is taken on record. He refers to the case diary and submits that the petitioner was appointed as a person, who would upload documents including deeds, in the Office of the ADSR. On a particular day, he was seen along with a co-accused performing pen work on deeds inside the record room without obtaining permission from the competent authority. CCTV footage to that effect is available in the record. He has not only uploaded the forged documents at the insistence of the co-accused but

also verified the document by misusing the log-in Id and password of the de-facto complainant.
3. Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected.
