Heard Mr. S.Shanmugasundaram, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner; Mrs.K.R.Shivashankari, who takes notice on behalf of the second respondent and Ms.V.Sujatha Siddharthan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the third respondent. 3. Since no adverse order is going to be passed against the first and fourth respondents, notice to them is dispensed with. 4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 26.06.2025 to the third respondent requesting restoration of the tax assessments bearing Assessment Nos.2175, 2176 and 2177 in respect of the houses bearing Door Nos.144, 145 and 146, respectively, situated at Ward No.7, VOC Nagar, Bharathiyar Street, Thuvakudi Municipality, Trichy District, in the name of Chinnammal, wife of Vellaisamy, after cancelling the erroneous assessments made in favour of the fourth respondent. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present Writ Petition. 5. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.19273 of 2026 26.06.2025 and pass appropriate orders within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 6. The learned counsel for the State and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first and third respondents have no serious objection to such a direction being issued. 7. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.06.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
