The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that earlier a first information report in Crime No.87 of 2017 was registered as against the petitioner for the offences under Sections 294(b) and 323 on 05.06.2017. However, the same was closed as further action dropped. However, the petitioner's name was erroneously continuing in the records. Seeking to remove his name from the criminal records, the petitioner has given a representation dated 16.06.2026. The Government Advocate, submitted that the option has wrapped for certain time and proper verification will be done and fresh verification reports would be issued shortly. 4. In view of the submissions made by either parties, the respondent police is directed to conclude the verification and issue a fresh police verification report based on the representation given by the petitioner on 16.06.2026 within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
