For Petitioner : Mr.V.Panneer Selvam For Respondents : Mr.M.Dinesh Hari Sudarsan Counsel for the Government of Tamil Nadu O R D E R This contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner complaining willful disobedience of the order dated 30.04.2026, in W.P.(MD) No.8581 of 2026, passed by this Court. 2. This Court, having taken note of various submissions of the respondents, prima facie came to the conclusion that the respondents / contemnors have deliberately violated the order passed by this Court in the main writ petition and accordingly, issued statutory notice to them on 11.06.2026. On 11.06.2026, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the third respondent appeared before this Court in person and on that day, this Court passed the following order: ____________ https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Cont.P.(MD) No.1637 of 2026 “Pursuant to the statutory notice issued by this Court, respondent No.3/3rd contemnor appeared before this Court in person. 2. Mrs.K.Porkodi, learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, submitted that the writ appeal filed against the order dated 30.04.2026 passed by this Court, has been dismissed by the learned Division Bench of this Court and seeks six weeks time “for reporting compliance”. 3. This Court having taken note of the said submission is of the considered view that the respondents, having come to know about the order passed by this Court dated 30th April, 2026, admittedly, on 04.05.2026, have not taken any steps to comply with the order passed by this Court, purportedly with an intention to file an appeal. Now, that writ appeal has been dismissed. Even if the respondents have an intention to file an appeal, it is obligatory on the part of the respondents to comply with the order, at the first instance. 4. But from the perusal of the counter affidavit, there is nothing to indicate that any positive step taken by the respondent No.3 to comply with the order passed by this Court. 5. In the circumstances, taking into consideration the fact that the order dated 30.04.2026 appears to have not been communicated to the petitioner on 30.04.2026, this ____________ https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Cont.P.(MD) No.1637 of 2026 Court instead of passing final orders in the contempt petition, inclined to grant time to the respondents to comply with the order passed by this Court. 6. List the matter on 09.07.2026 “for reporting compliance”. In case, if the order is not complied with by the date, all the respondents shall appear in person before this Court.” 3. Accordingly, this contempt petition is listed today for reporting compliance of the order passed by this Court in the main writ petition. 4. Today, Mr.M.Dinesh Hari Sudarsan, learned counsel for the Government of Tamil Nadu appearing for the respondents, reports that the respondents have complied with the order passed by this Court and accordingly, they have issued a proceedings dated 07.07.2026 posting the petitioner at the Government High School, Senappanallur, Trichy District, and a copy of the said proceedings is also served on the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the petitioner. ____________ https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Cont.P.(MD) No.1637 of 2026 5. This Court, having perused the said proceedings dated 07.07.2026, is convinced that the respondents have complied with the order passed by this Court in the main writ petition. 6.
