ORDER This Writ Petition is filed seeking to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent No.2., to provide adequate police protection for the peaceful conduct of the General Body Meeting of Karimsha Jumma Mosque (Registration No. 105), scheduled to be held on 12.07.2026 at the mosque premises situated at Munichalai Road, Madurai, based on the petitioner’s representation dated 16.06.2026.
2. The learned Government Advocate submitted that enquiry has been conducted on the petitioner’s representation and the same was closed, recording the statement given by the petitioner that no further action is necessary.

In view of the submission made by either side, the second respondent police is directed to reopen the enquiry on the petitioner’s representation, put the petitioner and the rival parties on notice under Section 64 BNSS, conduct enquiry and facilitate the conduct of General Body meeting of Karimsha Jumma Mosque (Registration No. 105), scheduled to be held on 12.07.2026 at the mosque premises situated at Munichalai Road, Madurai, if necessary, police protection can be afforded on payment of necessary charges in terms of G.O(Ms)No.139, Home (Pol-VIII) Department, dated 04.03.2019.
