Side) ORDER This Criminal Original Petition has been seeking to pass an order not to harass the petitioner illegally. 2. The contention of the petitioner is that he is a member of the DMK Political Party and is associated with its Sports Development Wing. Further, for the past eight years, he is assisting the Police in identifying and apprehending the persons involved in ganja trafficking and prostitution business. According to the petitioner, he was falsely implicated in a case and now he has been acquitted. Despite the same, he has been unnecessarily called by the Police under the guise of enquiry and harassing him. 3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the petitioner is a history-sheeter in H.S.No.121 of 2004. It was further submitted that, in view of maintaining law and order during elections, the Police enquire into the history-sheeters and keep a watch over them. 4. Considering the submissions of the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), it is evident that the petitioner is a history-sheeter. Therefore, the action of the Police in enquiring into his activities, cannot be termed as harassment.
