IN THE HIGH COURT OF ORISSA AT CUTTACK W.P.(C) Nos.948, 960, 964, 965 & 975 of 2026 Dr. Subrat Kumar Pradhan …. Petitioner Mr. N.K. Sahu, Sr. Advocate with Mr. S.S. Sahu, Advocate -versus- State of Odisha and Others …. Opposite Parties Mr. P.K. Panda, ASC CORAM: JUSTICE BIRAJA PRASANNA SATAPATHY Order No. ORDER 19.02.2026 03. 1. This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical) Mode. 2. Heard learned counsel for the parties. 3. In course of hearing, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioners fairly contended that basing on the interim order passed by this Court on 13.01.2026, petitioners were not only permitted to make their choice locking, but also they have been allotted with the Medical College for their placement as Post PG Doctor. 4. It is however contended that since because of the in-action on the part of the Opp. Parties, there was delay in getting the benefit of placement as Post PG Doctors and thereby affecting the seniority of the petitioners, seniority of the petitioners be protected. 5. Learned Addl. Standing Counsel on the other hand contended that since as contended petitioners have been placed to different Medical Colleges for their placement as Post PG Doctors, the Writ Petitions have become infructuous. 6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the submissions made, this Court while disposing the Writ Petitions as having become infructuous, permits the petitioners to raise their grievance if any with regard to seniority, before the Competent Authority. 7. With the aforesaid liberty, all the Writ Petitions stand disposed of. (Biraja Prasanna Satapathy) Judge Basudev
