W.P(MD)No.19078 of 2026 4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's date of birth has been inadvertently entered as 11.05.1974, whereas his actual date of birth is 11.05.1977, which is reflected in all other Government records. It is further submitted that the petitioner submitted an application for issuance of passport on 13.06.2026. However, the respondent has not processed the said application till date. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 5.Per contra, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that if the petitioner produces all the relevant documents in support of his claim regarding the correction of the date of birth, the same would be considered by the respondent and appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with law. 6. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
