Mattegunta.Sudhir, SC For Z.P.Ps,M.P.Ps,Gram Panchayats 2 The Court made the following order: Heard Sri Kristam Sakthi Niranjan Guptha, learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Assistant Government Pleader for School Education appearing for the respondent Nos.1 & 2 and Sri M.Sudhir, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent. 2. The grievance of the petitioners in the instant writ petition is against the action of the respondents in not naming the Zilla Praja Parishad High School, Dammayapalem, after petitioners’ late father Sri Duvvuri Adi Shesha Reddy, despite his donation of the land over an extent of Ac.5.00 cents for the construction and establishment of the said school. 3. It is contended that the petitioner's late father was the prime donor for establishing the said school. Apart from donation of the said land, the petitioners have also contributed towards the development of the school. Despite the same, the respondents have not passed any orders naming the Zilla Praja Parishad High School, Dammayapalem, after the petitioner's father. The petitioners made a representation dated 03.02.2026 requesting the respondents that the School be named after his father in recognition of his generous donation. Despite the said representation, the respondents have not taken any action. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that the District Educational Officer has referred to the latest G.O.Ms.No.13 dated 06.10.2021, on the subject issue to deny the claim made by the petitioners. However, since the donation was made long prior to the issuance of said latest G.O.Ms.No.13 3 dated 06.10.2021, the respondents ought to have considered the case of the petitioners in the light of the relevant G.O., as was in operation at the relevant point of time. 5. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for School Education placed before this Court a copy of the written remarks received from the 2nd respondent, dated 04.04.2026. A perusal of the same would reflect that, as G.O.Ms.No.13, dated 06.10.2021, a person is required to donate an amount of Rs.300 lakhs for a school to be named after the name of the donor. 6. Having regard to the fact that, as the representation of the petitioners is still pending for consideration, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 03.02.2026 of the petitioners, within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioners. 7. With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
