W.P(MD)No.18954 of 2026 2.By consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's lands were utilised for the erection of a high-tension transmission tower line. The competent authority determined the compensation payable to the petitioner. Though a part of the compensation has already been disbursed, the balance amount has not yet been paid. Aggrieved by the non-payment of the balance compensation, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition. 4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Electricity Board submitted that a sum of Rs.1,40,45,500/- has already been paid to the petitioner towards compensation and that the balance amount will be disbursed immediately upon completion of the work.
