This is an application filed under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, praying for the grant of bail to the petitioner, namely Sri Bhupen Nath, who has been in custody since 28.08.2025, in connection with Tinsukia P.S. Case No. 319/2025 registered under Sections 118(2)/109(2) of the BNS, 2023. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to the FIR, wherein it is alleged that the petitioner physically assaulted the informant while under intoxication. It is submitted that the charge-sheet was filed within four days of the alleged incident dated 28.08.2025. The learned counsel further submits that no witnesses have been examined to date, and the trial has not progressed. It is also submitted that the petitioner is willing to participate in the trial and abide by any condition that may be imposed by this Court if he is granted the privilege of bail. 4. Having regard to the stage of the trial, the fact that the charge-sheet has already been submitted within a short period of the alleged incident, and the length of detention suffered by the petitioner, this Court is of the opinion that the petitioner may be granted the privilege of bail. Accordingly, it is directed that the petitioner, namely Sri Bhupen Nath, shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs. 30,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Trial Court. The learned Trial Court shall be at liberty to impose such further conditions as may be deemed necessary to ensure the petitioner’s Page No.# 3/3 participation during the trial proceedings. 5.
