In the matter of: Anjay Mandi ...… Petitioner. Mr. Soumyajit Das Mahapatra, Mr. Madhurai Sinha, Ms. Upasana Banerjee, Mr. Bisal Roy, ..… For the Petitioner. Dr. Pradip Banerjee, Ms. Suman Agarwal, Ms. Anita Pandey,, ..…For the State 1. Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner, be taken on record. 2. Heard the submission of both the learned counsel for the parties. 3. The de facto complainant is not represented. 4. On careful perusal of the entire materials on record it appears that the nature and gravity of the offence and the statement made by the various witnesses recorded under Section 180 of the B.N.S.S., prima facie, incriminating materials are found against the petitioner. The submission of the learned counsel that there is no specific role in the petition of complaint or subsequently, also entitled him to release on bail after long incarceration of more than one year and two months. However, this Court is not inclined to consider the prayer of the petitioner, only considering the period of detention as charge has been framed and witness action has been started for taking evidence of P.W.1. 5. The prayer for bail stands rejected, at this stage. 6. Accordingly, bail application being, CRM (M) 2159 of 2026 stands dismissed. 7. All parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (CHAITALI CHATTERJEE (DAS), J.) 2
