The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner lodged a complaint which led to registration of Raghunathganj P.S. FIR No.1449 of 2024 dated 10.11.2024 for investigation into the offences punishable under Sections 420/467/468/120B of the Indian Penal Code. 2. The petitioner submits that, despite passage of about two years, the investigation of the case is not complete. The petitioner, therefore, prays that the instant writ petition may be disposed of by directing the police authority to expedite the investigation of the case. 3. It appears that considerable period of time has passed since registration of FIR. The dispute which forms the subject matter of the case is commercial in nature. 2 4. The Officer-in-Charge of Raghunathganj Police Station shall ensure that the investigation of the case is expedited. The Officer-in-Charge shall look into the matter and complete the investigation within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order, in the event, such investigation is not completed. 5. In the event the investigation is not completed within the time stipulated herein, the Investigating Officer of the case shall be at liberty to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate praying for extension of time citing grounds as to why the investigation of the case could not be completed within the time stipulated herein. If such an application is made, the learned Magistrate shall consider the same and decide the same in accordance with law. 6. It is clarified that this Court has not gone into the merits of the allegations of the petitioner. 7. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 26183 of 2025 is disposed of without any order as to costs. 8. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities. (Anuj Singh, J.)
