Though an order was passed in the matter on 30th September, 2026, however, the learned advocate for the petitioner had mentioned the matter and the matter has been posted under the heading “To Be Mentioned” today. Accordingly, the unsigned order dated 30th September, 2026 is recalled and the matter is heard afresh. 2. Today, the learned advocate for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is ready and willing to make payment of the entire dues of the Cantonment Board, Barrackpore and has placed before this Court a cheque dated 5th October, 2026, for a sum of Rs.39,89,100/-drawn in favour of Cantonment Board Barrackpore. He however, prays for some more time to make the payment of the balance amount. 3. Considering such submissions and while making over the cheque dated 5th October, 2026 to Mr. Dasgupta, 2 WPA 24260 of 2026 learned advocate appearing for the respondents, I direct the petitioner to make payment of the balance amount of Rs.59,89,635/- when the matter is taken up next. 4.
