No. 1575 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to conduct a fair investigation by altering the FIR to incorporate the appropriate penal provisions in Crime No.57 of 2026 on the file of the first respondent police. 2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the first respondent had registered an FIR in Crime No.57 of 2026 for the offence punishable under Section 420 IPC against the accused, pursuant to the direction issued by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ambattur, in Crl.M.P. No.1737 of 2025, by order dated 21.11.2025. He further submitted that the investigation is in progress. 3. If, during the course of investigation, materials are found disclosing the commission of offences punishable under Sections 467, 468 and 471 IPC, the first respondent shall alter the FIR by incorporating the appropriate penal provisions, proceed with the investigation in accordance with law, and file a final report within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
