Roshan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. BR Sharma, learned counsel along with Ms. Pamchui, learned counsel and Mr. Jyotimay Acharya, Dy. Commandant, CRPF. [2] By the present petition, the petitioner challenges the transfer order dated 22.12.2025 whereby, he has been transferred from GC-Imphal to CTC-Gwalior. He made representation for home posting at Nadia, West Bengal and the same is rejected by order dated 10.02.2026. In the present petition, the transfer order dated 22.12.2025 and rejection order dated 10.02.2026 are challenged on the ground that the petitioner is entitled for home posting in terms of the applicable standing order- 04/2022 dated 27.09.2022. [3] On last date of listing dated 21.05.2026, Mr. BR Sharma, learned CGC submitted that the matter became infructuous as release order had already been issued. However, Mr. K. Roshan, learned counsel for the petitioner took one week time to take instructions in this regard. [4] When the matter is listed today, the learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that the writ petition may be closed as the process of transfer has already become final and release order is issued; albeit with Oinam Thoiba Meitei Digitally signed by Oinam Thoiba Meitei Date: 2026.06.04 17:53:52 +05'30' preservation of rights for filing fresh representation for home posting in terms of the applicable standing order and rules. [5] Recording the fair submissions made by the parties at the bar, WP(C) No. 361 of 2026 is disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioner to file fresh representation, if so advised and the same shall be considered in terms of the applicable standing order and rules as expeditiously as possible.
