The petitioners have preferred this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking following reliefs :- 10.1 Issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant and release the compensation for Daladal affected agricultural land to the petitioners for the year 2024-25. 10.2 Direct the respondents to continue payment of compensation for the year 2025-26 until the agricultural lands of the petitioners are restored and made cultivable. 10.3 Pass any other relief, which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper according to the facts and circumstances of the case along with the cost of the petition. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that, petitioners are agriculturists. Their agricultural lands are situated adjacent to the Stop dam constructed by respondent No. 6. Due to continuous seepage of water from the said Stop Dam, the agricultural lands of the petitioners have become waterlogged and marshy (Daldal land) making the lands unfit for cultivation, therefore, since 2011, the respondent No. 6 has been giving Dalidali land compensation to the petitioners, but the same has been stopped since 2024, whereas, their agricultural lands are still uncultivable on account of waterlogged and marshy (Daldal land). He further submits that, since payment of compensation has been stopped by respondent No. 7 6, therefore, the petitioners have jointly filed a representation (Annexure P-1) before the respondent No. 2/Collector, Bilaspur for grant of compensation, but the same has not been decided yet, hence, learned counsel submits that at this stage, this writ petition may be disposed of directing respondent No. 2 to decide their representation Annexure P-1 expeditiously. 3. Learned counsel for the respondents have no objection to allow aforesaid limited prayer made by the learned counsel for petitioners. 4. Having considered the limited prayer of the petitioners as above, without entering into merits of the case, at this stage, this writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No. 2/Collector, Bilaspur to decide the joint representation Annexure P-1 filed by the petitioners as early as possible preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.
