2. Husband of appellant was working in Police Department and died on 19.10.2008, while he was in service. He served as Police Constable. Appellant submitted a representation on 22.08.2011, seeking appointment on compassionate ground. The representation submitted by Appellant / wife of the deceased employee was to provide employment to Karthiga, who is the daughter of deceased employee. The said representation was rejected on the ground that appellant was minor at that point of time. On attaining the age of majority, again a representation dated 19.01.2018 was submitted and it was rejected on the ground that several years lapsed. Therefore, application submitted beyond three years under Scheme is not maintainable. Learned Single Judge relied on the judgment of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and dismissed the writ petition.
3. Compassionate appointment cannot be granted after a lapse of many years. Terms and conditions stipulated under the Scheme are to be scrupulously following. In view of the principles settled in this regard, this Court does not find any infirmity or perversity in respect of Writ Order. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
