Mr. Harendra Belwal Advocate, for the petitioner. 2. Mr. S.S. Lingwal, Advocate for the respondents. 3. Petitioner was engaged as a daily wager in G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. His engagement was discontinued in the year 2025 on the charge of helping students in using unfair means. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs: - “i) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to reinstate the services of the petitioner on the Group ‘D’ post and pay him regular salary with all consequential benefits, as he was getting prior to his oral termination order. ii) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to consider the application dated 25.12.2025, moved by the petitioner (Annexure No. 2), addressed to the respondent University, for reinstate his in service.” 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has made a representation for his re-engagement and the competent authority in the University be directed to take decision thereupon. 5. Mr. S.S. Lingwal, learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that he has no objection if the writ petition is disposed of in terms of the prayer made by the petitioner. 6. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to the competent authority in the respondent-University to consider petitioner’s representation enclosed as Anexure- 2026:UHC:1568 4 to the writ petition, as per law, within four weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
