Katkia, learned counsel submits that he has instruction to conduct this case on behalf of Mr. P. R. Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and has filed his appearance memo. 2. He submits that initially, on the complaint of the petitioner, Khandagiri PS Case No. 331 of 2021 had been registered against one Mukesh Jain and Akshaya Jain for commission of offences punishable under Section 417, 420, 506, 34 of the IPC. Pursuant to order dated 13.08.2025 passed in CRLMP No. 847 of 2025, the investigation in the case was transferred to the EOW. Pursuant to which the EOW, Bhubaneswar Case No. 16 of 2025 was registered on 23.10.2025 under Section 417, 420, 506, 34 of the IPC against the accused persons. 3. He submits that in spite of the provision of Section 193(3)(ii) in the BNSS, no intimation or information has been given to petitioner regarding the progress in investigation. 4. The provision of Section 193(3)(ii) in the BNSS is extracted below; “Section 193- Report of police officer on completion of investigation. (3)(ii)- “the police officer shall, within a period of ninety days, inform the progress of the investigation by any means including through electronic communication to the informant or the victim” 5. In view of the grievance of the petitioner, the CRLMP is disposed of directing the Opposite Party No. 4 to intimate the progress in investigation in EOW PS Case No. 16 of 2025 to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from receipt of this order.
