06.10.2026 91 Ct. No. 37 S.D. Allowed C.R.M.(A) 3250 of 2026 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Berhampore Police Station Case No. 1147 of 2026 dated 02.08.2026 under Sections 85/80/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Berampore at Murshidabad. And In Re : Manik Mandal @ Tinkori Mondal ….petitioner Mr. Somnath Adhikary Ms. Prajna Paramita Mandal …for the petitioner Mr. Gouranga Kumar Das, Ld. A.P.P., Mr. Amal Kumar Dutta Mr. Ayan Mitra …for the State Husband of the victim is still in custody. Mother-in-law of the victim was granted anticipatory bail by the Jurisdictional Court. Petitioner before Court is the father-in-law. Considering the materials in the case diary and considering the age of the petitioner and considering the fact that the mother-in-law was granted anticipatory bail by the Jurisdictional Court, I deem it appropriate to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, I direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/-, with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also be subject to the 2 conditions as laid down under Section 482 (2) of the B.N.S.S., 2023. The petitioner will report before the Investigating Officer once a week till the conclusion of the investigation. The petitioner shall appear on every date before the Jurisdictional Court on and from the date fixed for appearance of the accused and in default the jurisdictional Court will pass appropriate order to secure the presence of the petitioner in Court including cancelling the anticipatory bail granted without further reference to this Court. This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, allowed. (Debangsu Basak, J.) SUROJIT DAS Digitally signed by SUROJIT DAS Date: 2026.10.07 11:16:48 +05'30'
