1. Mr. Abhijay Negi, learned counsel for the petitioners.
2. Mr. Pradeep Hairiya, learned Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand.
3. Mr. Rajesh Sharma, learned counsel for respondent no. 2.
4. Ms. Ruchika Negi, Advocate holding brief of Mr. Sandeep Kothari, learned counsel for respondent no. 4.
5. Mr. Neeraj Garg, learned counsel for respondent no. 6.
6. Petitioners were engaged through outsourcing in Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation. Their engagement was discontinued in the month of June, 2024.

According to petitioners, the Managing Director of the Corporation wrote a letter to Principal Secretary, Forest on 13.05.2024 seeking guidance for re-engaging the petitioners, and the State Government permitted the Competent Authority in the Corporation to take appropriate decision at his own level.
8. It is contended that despite clearance by the State Government, no decision is being taken by the Managing Director, Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that work and post is available,
2026:UHC:1702 therefore, there is no impediment for re- engaging the petitioners.
10. Learned counsel appearing for Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation disputed the submission made by
learned counsel for the petitioners. He, however, submits that if petitioners have any grievance against their non-engagement, they should have approached the Managing Director instead of rushing to this Court.
11. The writ petition is, accordingly,
disposed of with liberty to petitioners to make representation to the Competent Authority. If petitioners make representation within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken within eight weeks thereafter. It shall be open to petitioners to raise the issue of unpaid salary, if any, in the representation.
