NARENDRA PRASAD ORAL ORDER This writ petition is filed under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India, challenging the order dated 18.01.2025 vide Annexure E passed by respondent No. 3, wherein the petitioner has been kept under suspension by invoking Regulation 8 of the Karnataka Electricity Board Employees' (Classification, Control and Appeal) Regulations, 1987. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:2400 WP No. 5356 of 2025 2. The case of the petitioner is that he joined the service with Bangalore Electricity Supply Co. Ltd. as a Junior Meter Reader on 17.03.2008. Thereafter, he has been promoted as a overseer on 27.09.2013. When he was in service, on some allegations, he has been kept under suspension by the impugned order dated 18.01.2025. Being aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this Court. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that, even today, the departmental enquiry has not been initiated. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 04.03.2025 seeking for revocation of the suspension order. 4. Since the respondents have not passed any order, under these circumstances, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the respondent No. 3 is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.03.2025, in accordance with law, as - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:2400 WP No. 5356 of 2025 expeditiously as possible, not later than four weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.
