Petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: (i) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ directing the respondent No.3 to consider the letter dated 23.03.2020 and issue the "e-katha" to the property of the petitioner bearing House No.29, janjar No.12, Assessment No.16/1, situated at Mavinahalli village, Jayapura Hobli, Mysore Taluk, Mysore District, copy at Annexure A. (ii) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ directing the respondent No.2 and 3 to consider the letter dated 01.12.2021 made by the petitioner, copies at Annexure F and G respectively; and (iii) Pass such other order/s as this Hon'ble Court deems fit to grant under the circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity. 2. Petitioner claims to be the absolute owner of the property bearing house No.29, Janjar No.12, - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:3648 WP No. 4298 of 2022 Assessment No.16/1, situated at Mavinahalli village, Jayapura Hobli, Mysore taluk, Mysore district. An application having been made by the petitioner for issuance of e-katha. The same not having been issued the petitioner is before this Court seeking for the aforesaid reliefs. 3. When an application for issuance of e-katha is made, it is but required for the respondents to consider the same and pass necessary orders within 30 days from the application has been filed. 4. In the present case, the application filed on 23.03.2020 is still to be considered. However, taking into account that the application was filed in the physical format and now an application for e-katha is required to be filed in electronic format, I am of the considered opinion that interests of justice will be served by permitting the petitioner to file a fresh application in the electronic format accompanied by all documents, which once filed would have to be - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:3648 WP No. 4298 of 2022 considered and necessary orders passed by respondent within 30 days of such filing. As such, I pass the following order. ORDER (i) The writ petition is partly allowed. (ii) If an application is filed by the petitioner in the online mode accompanied by all documents for issuance of e-katha, the same is directed to be considered and necessary orders passed in accordance with law within 30 days of such filing.
